Mother/Bow To The King (Double EP on a Single LP) (Exclusive SILVER Vinyl)
This record has two A-Sides! We are proud to present a special reissue of BANG’s Mother / Bow To The King. This release combines two monumental EPs onto a single LP, housed in a deluxe Gatefold Jacket with an insert. This edition is pressed on Noble Records Exclusive Silver Vinyl.
Formed in 1969, BANG is widely considered one of the heaviest “proto-metal” bands of the era—often cited as the group that helped invent the heavy metal genre itself.
Once hailed as “America’s answer to Black Sabbath,” the Philadelphia trio’s big break is the stuff of rock and roll legend. In 1971, they famously gate-crashed a Rod Stewart concert in Orlando, convincing the promoters to let them open the show. They blew the roof off, earning the attention of major promoters (East Coast Concerts, Concerts West) and cementing their status as major contenders in the hard rock arena.
While their 1971 self-titled debut was a forerunner to Doom Metal, the 1972 release Mother / Bow To The King showcased the band’s evolution. It captures the heaviest elements of the era while maintaining a strong sense of melodic power and versatility that set them apart from their peers.
Though label politics and forced lineup changes stalled their ascent in the 70s, BANG has rightfully earned a cult following as a “lost” giant of American hard rock.

Took my daughter to Noble Records for the first time today. Friendly staff, cool spot. Store was easy to navigate. My daughter found the Blink album she wanted & we left. Will definitely be back
This is one of the best records places in the Charlotte-Matthew area. They have an amazing selection of sealed & preowned vinyls, cassettes, CDs, and more.
Sometimes I find record stores through research on the cities I visit. Other times fellow collectors might provide advice on where to go. Noble is neither ... I found them through their Instagram presence
