McPhee – McPhee – Noble Records Exclusive – Green Splatter
Noble Records Exclusive pressed on green splatter vinyl, limited to 600 copies.
Courtesy of Guerssen Records, this is a reissue of one of Australia’s rarest underground albums, originally released in 1971 on the Violets Holiday label.
Blending acid rock and prog-psych with a raw jam-session, club-live energy, McPhee features extended tracks driven by powerful male and female vocals, prominent Hammond organ, and hard-edged guitar work. The album delivers inventive and high-powered covers of Spooky Tooth, The Beatles, and Neil Young, alongside a pair of standout original compositions.
