Parchment Farm: Noble Exclusive Orange Translucent Vinyl
Experience a piece of Midwest rock history. This limited-edition release captures the raw energy of Parchment Farm, the heavy-hitting Missouri legends who shared stages with rock royalty throughout the late 60s and early 70s.
Strictly Limited Edition: Only 300 copies available worldwide.
Named after the blistering track on Blue Cheer’s Vincebus Eruptum, Parchment Farm emerged from Eastern Missouri in 1968. For five years, they dominated the club and festival circuit, evolving from a powerhouse cover band into a formidable original act known for their heavy, driving sound.
This release chronicles the band’s journey through three distinct eras:
Parchment Farm 1.0 (1968–1970): The original quartet featuring Mike Watermann, Paul Cockrum, Ace Williams, and Gary Reed. They quickly became a staple at the legendary Rainy Daze Club.
Parchment Farm 2.0 (1971–1972): Transitioning to a lean, mean 3-piece with the addition of drummer Mike Dulany. This era saw a surge in original songwriting and high-profile performances.
Parchment Farm 3.0 (1972–1973): A progressive shift featuring Mike Lusher and keyboardists Cliff King and Mike “Scotty” Scott, incorporating Moog synthesizers and flute for a more complex, expansive sound.
Parchment Farm didn’t just play the circuit; they held their own alongside the biggest names in rock history. Their resume of opening slots includes:

Took my daughter to Noble Records for the first time today. Friendly staff, cool spot. Store was easy to navigate. My daughter found the Blink album she wanted & we left. Will definitely be back
This is one of the best records places in the Charlotte-Matthew area. They have an amazing selection of sealed & preowned vinyls, cassettes, CDs, and more.
Sometimes I find record stores through research on the cities I visit. Other times fellow collectors might provide advice on where to go. Noble is neither ... I found them through their Instagram presence
