Short Cross – Arising Noble Exclusive Splatter Vinyl
SPLATTER VINYL, 600 COPIES ONLY!
Rare US’ 72 hard-rock / heavy-blues private pressing with a powerful sound in the vein of Sabbath, Led Zep, Grand Funk…
Originally from Sandston, Virginia, Short Cross featured ace guitar player Velpo Robertson and during their existence (1969-1973) opened for bands like Black Sabbath, Trapeze and Black Oak Arkansas among many others. “Arising” was their only album, released in 1972 and now considered a cult hard-rock classic.
This new reissue is dedicated to Velpo, who sadly passed away in 2020.
*Original artwork in gatefold sleeve
*Remastered sound
*Insert with liner notes and photos
“Ballsy, pro-sounding early 1970s rural bar rock-hardrock in an Allman Bros direction with great organ-guitar interplay”
– Patrick Lundborg (Acid Archives)
Learn more about Noble Records Exclusives
Securely packed and shipped from Noble Record Store in Matthews, North Carolina.
Took my daughter to Noble Records for the first time today. Friendly staff, cool spot. Store was easy to navigate. My daughter found the Blink album she wanted & we left. Will definitely be back
This is one of the best records places in the Charlotte-Matthew area. They have an amazing selection of sealed & preowned vinyls, cassettes, CDs, and more.
Sometimes I find record stores through research on the cities I visit. Other times fellow collectors might provide advice on where to go. Noble is neither ... I found them through their Instagram presence
